On July 19 2018, Li Huayi engaged in conversation with Dr. Michael Knight, consulting curator of the Akiko Yamazaki and Jerry Yang Collection, on Li’s unique approach to ink painting at Stanford University’s Cantor Arts Center.
The lecture was presented in conjunction with the exhibition 墨境 Ink Worlds: Contemporary Chinese Painting from the Collection of Akiko Yamazaki and Jerry Yang. Li Huayi’s installation work Dragon amidst Mountain Ridge and gilded screen work Enchanting Breeze and Nourishing Rain (II) are included in the exhibition, which are on view until September 3, 2018 at Cantor Arts Center.
